Citizens are welcome to attend meetings and participate on committee's that guide MPA dredging projects. Anyone can provide ideas, express concerns and offer feedback on any new or existing projects and an MPA team will respond.
The MPA’s also conducts projects that benefit local communities and the Chesapeake Bay. At Masonville Cove, you’ll find trails, a fishing pier, and the Masonville Cove Environmental Education Center.
The MPA hosts open-houses, tours, and other events several times a year. Schools and community groups can also learn about port operations by taking scheduled tours of port facilities and dredged material management sites, including boat trips to Hart-Miller Island and Poplar Island, and by exploring other education partnerships and resources.
